Accra City Hotel wins 4-star Hotel of the Year 2016

One of Ghana’s leading hospitality industry, Accra City Hotel, has been adjudged by the Ghana Hotels Association as the 2016 4-Star Hotel of the year.

The 4-Star Hotel is awarded to the hotel which provided outstanding services to its customers throughout the year.

Speaking to the B&FT after the award, Yaw K. Mamphey, Sales and Marketing Manager of the Hotel said the award is a feather in the cap of the hotel which will motivate them to improve on their

services to customers.

 “Popularity hasn’t brought us this far, but through the uncompromising service delivery from our international standard set professionals who are always on their toes and up to the task of being

effective and efficient in the delivery of their services.

And as I said earlier, we face challenges but we always have our goal in mind to satisfy our guests’ needs beyond their expectation,” he said.

“We are here to deliver service; service with outstanding performances in every area as a hotel. We are here to deliver excellence beyond compare because our guests are our priorities. We believe

they are important and as such, deserve the best of our services,” Mr. Mamphey added.

He thanked the staff of the hotel and encouraged them to continue their hard work that has earned the hotel such a reputation.

Mr. Mamphey recounted how far the hotel has transformed ever since its name was changed from Novotel to the Accra City Hotel.

“I have seen the progress of this hotel from Novotel to Accra City Hotel with time and I am glad to say that it feels good to know that I am part of this change. We took off with this rebranding from

2016 and in just that year we have won three important awards.

The awards include the best 4 Star Hotel of the Year 2016 in Greater Accra by the Tourism Authority Ghana, the Gold Star award 2016 for Customer Service Excellence by GCSA Ghana and recently the

4-Star Hotel of the Year 2016 by the Ghana Hotel Association,” he said.
